The goal of the Elocution competition is to encourage the skills and talents related to the art of speaking in public.
A narration of our Prophet, the Prophet (PBUH) said:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ بِالتَّعَلُّمِ وَالْفِقْهُ بِالتَّفَقُّهِ وَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ وَإِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ
O people, knowledge only comes by learning and understanding only comes by seeking understanding. For whomever Allah intends good, He gives Him an understanding of the religion. Verily, only those with knowledge fear Allah among His servants. (35:28) Source: al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr 929, Grade: Hasan

The participants were given two topics from which they could anchor their talk. But they were free to use either one, which they feel the best.
The duration of the time was 4mins. The speaker was asked not to take the help of paper, notes, or cards. Points were awarded on the given criteria. The judge’s decision was final. Prize distribution was done on the event day. The competition was held in two places for the convenience of the participants. That was in Khaitan and Fahaheel.
