IMA-Ladies Wing Conducted Qur’an Hifz Competition
Indian Muslim Association-Ladies Wing conducted “Annual Qur’an Hifz Competition on 13th January,2024”. IMA-Ladies Wing conducts such competitions every year to encourage the girls and women to memorize the Qur’an.
Competition was organized in 3 categories.
- Huffazah group
- Girls group:13-23yrs of age
- Women group: Women above 23yrs of age
The Surahs given for memorization were Surah Mulk and Surah Yaseen for girls and Women respectively, along with memorization of dua “Sayyidul-Istighfar.
The competition was held on 2 different locations i.e., Salmiya and Mangaf for ease of the participants.
Altogether, 57 girls and women participated in the competition. Judges chosen were expertise of the field and were Tajweed/Tafseer teachers from IPC and other organizations.
Certificates, trophies and prizes were distributed to winners and to all participants.
IMA -Kuwait is an Indian Socio-religious organization that operates under the patronage of Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs, Kuwait.
IMA always focusses to provide platform for enhancement of expatriates living in Kuwait for their enlightment through various programs and social gatherings. It looks forward for organizing various beneficial programs in the future, considering the occasions and requirements of expatriates in general and specifically the Indian diaspora in Kuwait.
